We booked this place on a whim today for a party of 10 people. We weren’t too sure what to expect because going by the reviews on Zomato, it wasn’t the best ranked Asian restaurant in the area. Glad we didn’t pay much attention to that!
It’s a large Chinese restaurant with your standard tables and chairs with some larger tables featuring the lazy susan for plate sharing.
Because of our numbers we ordered quite a lot of food, which was good because we got to try a few different foods. Some of what we ordered though:
Garlic scallops
Prawn dumplings
Dim sums
Wontons
Chicken satay
Pan fried dumplings
Deep fried squid
Pork & Taro
Lemon Chicken
Sweet & Sour Pork
Sizzling Ginger Spring Onion Beef
Prawn Vegetable Cashew Nuts
Rice noddles with beef
I don’t think there was a dish that we didn’t enjoy. Too hard to go into specifics but some of the best parts were the pan fried dumplings actually had a reasonable amount of meat stuffing in them. They weren’t those anorexic looking dumplings that excrete a piddly dropping of stuffing. These were a good size and delicious too.
The sizzling beef - the beef was very tender and the flavours fantastic! Pork in the Pork & Taro was lovely and tender as well. My favourite had to be the Garlic Scallops - for the size, it was one of the pricier dishes at $11 for 5 but it was still delicious. I would have been quite happy just eating that all night.
Fantastic meal shared with a fantastic group of people. Service was fantastic as well. Considering how busy we kept them, they were great.
Will definitely return when we next make a visit back to my hometown again!
The food is delicious and mouthwatering. The restaurant is very clean and inviting
